Most Importantly – The True Costs:

We are keen to be as transparent as possible with our Rallies as they are not a ‘cheap break’. Below is an itemised list of the other costs involved:

Registration – £395
The Car – Approx. £250 plus pimping
Insurance – Approx £35 per person based on specific Banger Rally insurance
European breakdown cover – Optional (but recommended at approx. £30)
Crossing the Channel
Ferries are typically available for approx. £50,
Channel tunnel £55.
Please see our recommendations below, and indeed our Packages which include all hotels plus the two ferries (available on the Registration page). We typically use hotels which will cost £30-50 per person per night.
Spain to Morocco Ferry
For those driving into Morocco and back out return ferries cost in the region of £200 – £250 per car (depending on how many passengers there are).
Fuel costs – This will vary wildly depending on your chosen vehicle but 2450 miles at an average 40mpg = 61 gallons/ 275 litres
As of December 2016:
France (930 miles)
Diesel is €1.07/l = €112 or £81
Petrol is €1.28/l = €134 or £97
Spain (865 miles)
Diesel is €1.05/l = €102 or £74
Petrol is €1.17/l = €114 or £83
Morocco (360 miles)
Diesel is €0.73/l = €30 or £22
Petrol is €0.88/l = €36 or £26
Diesel = €244 or £177
Petrol = €284 or £206
Tolls – there are a few tolls but nothing excessive, you will be looking at around £80 in total for tolls, however you can get away without going on the tolls, the routes just take longer!
Flights home
Flights are available back to most UK Cities from both Gibraltar and Marrakech.

What does all this mean then?

For a team of 4: Costs approx. £510 per person (excluding food and drink)
For a team of 3: Costs approx. £585 per person (excluding food and drink)
For a team of 2: Costs approx. £745 per person (excluding food and drink)

Hotel Recommendations

We offer a Hotel & Ferry Package which in this case will include a hotel in each of the 5 stopovers, based on the highlighted hotels below, as well as the ferry across the Channel. It will not include the Morocco Ferry or a hotel in Marrakech as teams will be spending varying amounts of time there following the Rally and will have different budgets.

Costs for the Hotel & Ferry Package are as follows;

Team of two: £375 (£187.50 per person)
Team of Four: £700 (£175 per person)
*Team of Three: Price on Request as not all hotels offer triple rooms
