Benelux Blitz

Most Importantly – The True Costs:

We are keen to be as transparent as possible with our Rallies as they are not a ‘cheap break’. Below is an itemised list of the other costs involved:

Registration – £295

The Car – From £250 plus pimping

Insurance – Approx £35 per person based on specific Banger Rally insurance

European breakdown cover – Optional (but recommended, prices from £30)

Crossing the Channel
Ferries are typically available for approx. £45
Channel tunnel starts at £51

Accomodation We recommend hotels with an average price of £30-50 per person per night.

Fuel costs – This will vary wildly depending on your chosen vehicle but 1000 miles at an average 40mpg = 25 gallons/ 114 litres
Diesel prices similar to UK, petrol slightly higher (prices as of 19th January 2018):
Belgium (approx. 200miles)
Diesel is €1.40/l = €31.50 or £28
Petrol is €1.44/l = €32.50 or £28.50
Germany (approx. 550miles)
Diesel is €1.22/l = €75.50 or £66.50
Petrol is €1.37/l = €85 or £75
Netherlands (approx. 100miles)
Diesel is €1.38/l = €15.50 or £13.50
Petrol is €1.69/l = €19 or £17
Total:
Diesel = €122.50 or £108
Petrol = €136.50 or £120.50

Tolls – there are very few tolls on route so you don’t need to budget for this.

Flights home
Flights are available back to most UK Cities from Amsterdam as low as £40. If you book closer to departure this price will rise but you should be able to get a flight for £100 maximum.

What does all this mean then?

For a team of 4: Costs approx. £420 per person (excluding food and drink)
For a team of 3: Costs approx. £500 per person (excluding food and drink)
For a team of 2: Costs approx. £600 per person (excluding food and drink)

Costs for the Hotel & Ferry Package are as follows;

Team of Two: £465 (£232.50 per person)
Team of Four: £880 (£220.00 per person)
Team of Three: Available on request as some hotels do not offer triple rooms
